April Delights

I am so ready for Spring to be in full swing and April is such a fabulous month I think.

Let me share with you my April Delights, all that I love about this month, as well as my plans and hopes for the months ahead.

It is a month full of new starts and better weather, blossom, school holidays and brilliant sport. April encourages me to aspire to better things.

I love Easter and the fun of hiding eggs and seeing the children squeal with delight as they find them. I love to see the garden begin to flourish and to plant out sweet peas and fresh herbs knowing the cold days are, we hope, behind us.

I love digging out the summer clothes and of course it is essential to do a little summer clothes shopping. I have been putting together a little fashion wishlist for Spring \Summer 2017 if you fancy a peek.

I always feel in April it is time to get my home spring cleaned and de-cluttered too. It’s as if the world is waking up, wiping the slate clean and starting again.

New wardrobe, better weather, prettier gardens and summer firmly in our sights.

April is also the month of tremendous sport.

I adore having a bet on Grand National Day With William Hill and oh my goodness do we shout the horses home.

I like to watch the London Marathon too and dream of one day being that fit! One of my best friends ran it last year and she said the exhilaration of completing was amazing.

The world snooker championship begins in April which takes me right back to my childhood when It seemed to be the only thing ever on our telly! I always rooted for Ray Reardon and my dad was a Hurricane Higgins fan.

The gymnastics world cup and the Golf masters also take place this month so I am imagining, after weary days getting the garden in order, we will be watching a lot of sport.

I have some plans to get fit myself though this year and I am going to begin by getting myself back on track with my diet and fitness. I aim to walk for 30 minutes a day and use my exercise bike for 30 minutes a day too. I know that sound ambitious but I have muchos weight to lose and want to feel a spring in my step again.

I am also going to be doing a 12 day cleanse in April and it will be my first ever. I am feeling a little nervous about it but apparently I will feel lighter brighter and utterly amazing so I am prepared to give it a go!

My darling niece turns 16 this April and I have my eye on a little instax camera for her (don’t worry she doesn’t read the blog) I was thinking a little powder blue one. She’ll be able to take lots of Polaroids of her friends and her special day.

instax, polaroid camera

Having a grown up niece is enough to make me feel old!

I have just finished my life coaching training too so it will be a month of waiting to see if I have passed and then thinking about my next step.

April really is a fabulous month.
