Over the past 4 weeks I have been sharing #mymarathon walk for the British Heart Foundation. What an absolute pleasure to have walked this marathon with so many lovely people whose company has delighted me.
My final 2 miles were with my good friend Penny.
We walked around the river Trent and it was lovely to catch up and set the world to rights. She bought me flowers and we had a lovely lunch to celebrate. She was absolutely the right person to finish my walk with and how I valued her company. She always leaves me feeling determined, loved, value and re -engaged with life and my dreams. What a fabulous friend.
I have felt my muscles strengthen during these 15 walks but most I have felt my spirit renew as I have spent time walking with some incredible people who had real strength and shared it with me.
I have raised £700 for the British Heart Foundation through walking this marathon. Absolutely huge thanks to all my walking companions, sponsors and cheerleaders. Love you ♥ You make a difference to the world.

So this challenge may be over but next year I aim to walk a half marathon in one day. For someone like me with a bilateral paralysis of the diaphragm that’s a challenge. But I have love, support and confidence.
I can do this.
