Exploring contemporary furniture

There is something about contemporary styling that brings a sense of peace and order . I think it’s the  no fuss approach that is just soothing on the eye in this often frenzied world.

Coral Nafie an interior decorating expert describes contemporary furniture as:

Smooth, clean, geometric shapes are essential for contemporary style furniture pieces…Fabrics often have a natural look found in wool, cotton, linen, silk, jute, and add textural appeal. Furniture pieces should be simple and uncluttered, without curves or decoration. Sofas, chairs, and ottomans have exposed legs. Beds and chairs usually have no skirt, trim, fringe, or tassels.

I have been perusing the Camerich store this morning and have picked out some of my favourite contemporary furniture pieces (Camerich is one of London’s leading contemporary sofa and furniture stores)and it is easy to see why… I could buy up the whole shop!

Contemporary Living

I think it is  all so beautifully stylish without trying too hard (if you know what I mean,)  I love the elegance of this furniture and the functionality. All the furniture at Camerich is available in a wide range of fabrics and finishes and varied size requirements can be accommodated. Basically you get a lot of design choice which is wonderful for interior lovers. The craftsmanship is also excellent, with 15 year guarantees on their sofas this is furniture built to last.

I think contemporary furniture really can be a beautiful addition to a home and bring with it both style and function and a base from which individuality can be stamped on a home.
