I am looking to update my lounge for Spring and Summer. I am all ready for a fresh look to embrace the new season and some sunshine at last.
I am excited to share some of my plans with you here.
I am after a piece of really beautiful and inspirational art to sit on the wall of my lounge and add some colour and vibrancy to my white walls with their monochrome prints. I quite fancy trying my hand at making something. I love this piece its sweet simple and quirky and I love the pink.
I wonder if I could have a go at this?
I also own this rather fabulous painting that would be rather lovely relocated to our lounge for Spring. It is by the artist Gabriel Bohemer whose art I love and whose original pieces are really great value and lot of fun. They always make me smile or think – or both.
Moving art about always changes the look of a home.
We have had our sofa years now and I am so ready for a change
We have had red sofas all our married life and I do love a colour pop but I am ready for something new and a little more serene new. Green is a hot trend this year butit’s not for me. Instead I am thinking this Doodler 3 Seater Sofa by Loaf at John Lewis, in Brushed Cotton Gull’s Egg is just the perfect colour for Spring and so fresh.
Plants and flowers
I am also thinking lots of plants are needed to bring the Spring and summer months into our home. These are an inexpensive addition to a home update. and spring flowers just add so much life.
New lighting is always on e of my favourite ways to update a space and over at Iconic Lights the new Spring collection has had me swooning. This Large Modern Geometric Ceiling Shade in White is such a bargain at £23 and it so very cool. I have to have it!
and for a complimentary table lamp this one just oozes summer. It is a Geometric ‘Hugo’ Table Lamp with Colourful Base Design and again a complete bargain at just £25.
and last but not least a new rug would be delightful. I am loving this Trillo rug from Habitat, the yellow would pick out the lamp above colours beautifully!
So what do you think of my wishlist for a lounge update; some fresh art, new lighting, a fabulous new sofa, zingy rug and some gorgeous plants and flowers.
I think these would all give my lounge a brand new lease of life and welcome in Spring in style.
