Bursts of Yellow Flowers

Yellow flowers make me so happy

“And so with the sunshine and the great bursts of leaves growing on the trees, just as things grow in fast movies, I had that familiar conviction that life was beginning over again with the summer.”

Bursts of Yellow Flowers

Oh summertime in the garden and it is just so full of yellow – a riot of sunshine flowers. The vibrant colours makes my heart swell and sing.

I don’t think we intended to plant so much yellow but indeed we have….  the sunshine is firmly in our garden.

Bursts of Yellow Flowers

As a child we had just a tiny concrete back yard with a border. This border garden my mum filled with love and lilies of the valley. Her hanging baskets were glorious overflowing with her nurture and nasturtiums. He windowsill pots were a riot of petunias.

She made the very best of her small space.

I know how very blessed I am to have a garden now; a big green space, soil, shade, a pond and the long green, green grass. It brings me so much joy. And now it is summertime and garden is glowing and growing and showing herself off at her best.

Let me show you around…

Even the burst yellow flowers of the tomatoes want to get in on the sunshine parade…

The sound of colors is so definite that it would be hard to find anyone who would express bright yellow with base notes, or dark lake with the treble.

so so pretty Becky, I wish my garden grew! However no matter how hard we try everything is zapped and sucked dry by the hundreds of protected trees that surround my garden.

It is lovely to have a garden rather than a patch of ground, isn’t it. I love your photos.

Ooo they aren’t wallfowers are they?

Loving the yellow boom in your garden Becky, it really is such a happy colour. Colour really can bring such a change to peoples moods can’t it? I can’t wait for our sunflowers to blooms here, I planted them outside our living room window so I could see them whether I’m outside or in!
Thanks for sharing such a lot of lovely yellow x

It looks gorgeous Becky! Just sat here looking at my garden now and realising how much yellow there is. I think I’d previously just been blinded by the great yellow expanse that is the kids’ slide, but actually there’s a fair bit of yellow in the flower beds too.
