It is so much more than a book. In this lovely box set you get both a lovely paperback guide and a collection of art.

It contains  the story of 40 of the world’s most fascinating plants, as discovered through the archives ant kew gardens and through expert introductions.

It also contains 40 beautifully reproduced prints of the plants which can then be framed, these are beautiful prints and real quality. you would be just delighted to hand them around your home I am sure. These prints would also make the most lovely presents.

The book is written Christopher Mills who is Head of Library, Art and Archives at Royal Botanic Gardens Kew. So he most definitely knows what he’s talking about ! This is such an interesting collections of history and art and botany  a truly fabulous resource.

    I’m never quite sure of the spelling but I love lissianthus, called paper rose too. Something so romantic and dreamy about them. Ps they look nothing like roses!

    My favourite flower is the humble sweet pea.Such beautiful colours and unmistakeable scent. My grandfather always used to grow them on his allotment many years ago and take a small posy each summer”s day to my grandmother.How lovely and romantic.
