Do you love a bit of cake – I have to admit with a cup of tea it has to be one of my most favourite treats of all time and to get one through the post – wow – now that truly is something very special indeed.

Sponge is an online cake company sponge.co.uk and they hand-make all their cakes in their bakery in Holt and deliver them all over the UK. Oh, this is a very good thing to know if you are wanting to gift someone a special cake.

They have a wide variety of sponge cakes in all flavours as well as gluten-free and vegan ones too all available for sponge cake delivery.

 

Are you a sponge cake lover?

I am a huge cake lover and I was absolutely delighted when they asked me if I would be interested in taste testing one of their cakes and reviewing their delivery. It was always going to be a resounding yes please from me.

As luck would’ve it I was asked to do this review over my birthday weekend so I opted to review a birthday cake. Choosing it myself was a real pleasure. my kids usually pick something a bit too gooey as ‘my cake’ as their eyes light up at all the chocolate.

Now that is definitely a very lucky blogging break! 

 

What we chose for our sponge cake delivery

I chose the Millionaires sponge (but honestly completely spoilt for choice!) do take a look their huge range. 

The Millionaires sponge cake is a vanilla and chocolate cake, toffee and caramel butter icing and chocolate drizzle. it tastes as good as it sounds too and oh isn’t it pretty.

We ate it in the garden with cups of tea in the morning sunshine. It was just delicious.

Why choose a hand-made sponge cake delivery?

I think sending someone a cake as a gift is a completely lovely idea, it is original and practical and such a treat. It also makes a great congratulations gift.
