Ruth Caneron Dawkins blogs over at Dorkymum about parenting, politics, photography and ‘whatever else she fancies.’ She is a gorgeous and thought provoking writer. We asked her to share her beautiful things with us.
Here’s what she had to say……
The most beautiful day I ever had… my wedding day, back in 2007. A beautiful autumn day, the joy of being surrounded by friends and family, lots of champagne, laughter and dancing, and a heart full of love for my husband.
The most beautiful thing I have ever seen… late evening sun on the Arctic ice cap.
The most beautiful thing I have ever owned…a simple jade necklace that my husband bought for me at a market in Singapore, just a few months after we met each other. I wear it every day.
The most beautiful song I have ever heard… Here Comes the Sun by the Beatles. A friend played it on the guitar at my son’s Christening so it always makes me smile.
The most beautiful person I know is… My five year old son, who has the kindest heart of anyone I know.
The most beautiful thing about me is… my loyalty to those I love.
