I love making breakfast berry jars to go.
My husband never gets organised in time in the morning for breakfast before he leaves for work. Not ever. So one morning after I’d had my own lovely fruit, berry and granola breakfast I decided to pack him some up too. A plastic box looked mightily unappealing so I found a little glass jar and piled it all in. It looked rather lovely, held a good amount and the lid made it totally portable.
I have done a few variations of the berry breakfast jars now. I just make him on e up at the same time as I make my breakfast and pop it in the fridge, for him to grab and go.
Love the fact I can he can just rinse the jar out at night and it can be used again and again. I use a big tub of yoghurt too which keeps cost and packaging down.
Breakfast Berry jars – Ingredients
Fat-free strawberry yoghurt (though you could use any flavour)
Berries (strawberries, raspberries, blueberries)
Granola (I like Dorset Cereal simply nut granola)
Peach and passion fruit yoghurt and granola
Breakfast Berry jars – Method

Simply spoon in layers of each, I use about 1/3 of each but if you prefer more berries or granola then go for it. I tend to start with granola and end with fruit and end up with several layers in between. Best eaten fresh on the day.
Breakfast is a key part of the day and this is a super healthy breakfast that can be grabbed and eaten on the commute or at the desk. It also makes a lovely snack. Enjoy!

These look amazing! Although I wouldn’t want to be giving my husband any fancy ideas 🙂
Wow, they look gorgeous….but don’t tell my husband, otherwise he’ll be wanted one too! 😉
That looks delicious! I’m definitely going to be having a go at this!
Oh boy, these look delicious and are perfect for so many different occasions, i’d use them when we get up really early to go holiday, when it’s a long journey I pack us a breakfast we can eat along the road. Dan’t couldn’t have this one (unless I hand fed him #awkward) but us girls could 🙂
Ooo yummy Becky, this looks tasty – I bet Kitty would love that as a special treat!
Those look amazing, what a lovely idea! This would be perfect for my husband as he is lactose intolerant and always has soya yoghurt on his breakfast.
I have never made these but they look fab. I think even the teen would like them.
These look delicious and are so handy for lunch breaks too. Love berries and granola, especially when the berries are still a little frozen. Mango is super delicious too x
I do something very similar with oats, chia seed and fruit and yogurt. Yum!
OMG I love this idea. I could make one for my husband to take to work and one for me to snack on.
