Welcome to Bits of lovely at A Beautiful Space
I know it is really important to have an attitude of gratitude and appreciate and acknowledge the lovely things in your life.
Oh, I really don’t have an Instagram perfect life. Last week involved a tooth out, a worrying hearing test, a big family row and a washing machine breaking down twice.
But my last few weeks also contained many bits of lovely and I need to give space and time to acknowledge that
Art – Bits of lovely at A Beautiful Space
I love art it makes me smile to see, it moves me pause and sigh in such a good way. I do not make enough space in my life for it. This week I reviewed a host of prints form Desesnio and they have filled my home with some lovely new art, This bunny has to be my favourite.
Crafts
Lise and I learned to felt this week and made this little family of penguins. I just adore crafting and it always feels such a bonding time with my children.
Flowers
I have been slimming and this weekend I received my 2 stone award from my slimming club . I have 4 stone left to lose till I get to a healthy weight. I am on it and motivated. Easter consisted of flowers for me instead of choc but oh how happy flowers and this weight loss make me.
Bits of lovely – Garden
Our long winter neglected garden needs bringing back to life with some warmth and some planning. We have begun and I cannot wait to see it flourish. We have so much to do from plug planting to woodcare of our garden furniture but it’s a labour of love becuase come summer we will be so happy.
Organising my home
Organising my home is an ongoing project and yesterday I tackled my desk. I love this little space it brings me a connection to the big wide world, a way to make money from home and a chance to write and create.
Music
I am playing John Denver’s Country Roads again and again right now because I am learning it on the guitar and I just love this song. It reminds me of my mum, of simple times and appreciating where I live,, of appreciating home.
Hope you have a had a week filled with bits of lovely x
