Oh my, I have such a lovely DIY advent calendar craft to share with you today.
This gorgeous craft kit is a far carry from my usual advent over indulgences – I cannot tell you the money I have spent on Lego and Harry Potter and Playmobil advent calendars for my kids and Yankee candle and beauty ones for me.
Much as I love a bit of extravagance at Christmas I also like heartfelt gifts much more and I have longed for a less commercial Christmas for our family for years.

I was very excited to try out their DIY advent calendar craft kit.
DIY Advent Calendar Craft – how to
It combines paper, pegs, string, hessian, cloth, numbers glue, card and inserts for you to make your very own craft.
I spent the nicest hour or two with my daughter creating our advent calendar envelopes and it is going to be such a treat to open in the run-up to Christmas.
The inserts are a selection of kind and thoughtful ideas that will fill advent with fun and loveliness – take your neighbours a treat, make a Christmas cake, watch a movie with your family – that kind of stuff. They will being so much more pleasure than a chocolate wolfed down in 2 seconds!
The kit actually comes with 72 daily ideas to choose from, ready to cut – so 3 years worth of advent in 1 kit!
What is especially fab is the little envelopes you have made can be used again next year too and so this is a very eco-friendly advent calender too with not a hint of plastic in sight.
This is such a brilliant craft kit and the best kind of advent calendar – at £16 it is a great bargain too.
