Today – Epson TW-650 Projector Review
I am not a fan of big TV’s.
I like my lounge to be a place where we play and read, chat, play music and just hang out without screens dominating.
My kids as you can imagine LOVE their screen time. My son’s favourite thing to do is play Fifa on the PS4 and my little girl is a huge fan of music and crafting youtube videos.
And as a family? Oh, we all love to snuggle up and watch a great movie together with blankets and popcorn.
So when I was asked if I would like to review the Epson TW-650 home cinema projector, I knew it would be just brilliant for us.
Instead of having a giant plasma TV dominating out lovely living room instead we now have this discreet little projector, easily stored away but ready to give us 300-inch display just at the touch of a button. How cool is that?
Epson TW-650 Projector Review
We can keep out lounge as we like it but can still have a full, brilliant cinematic experience. How fabulous to be able to ‘super-size’ our films and games and sporting events, favourite songs and oh, so much more.
What’s in the box?
You get all the kit you need to set up and go …
- Main unit
- Power cable
- Quick Start Guide
- Remote control incl. batteries
- User manual (CD)
It is all pretty intuitive, to be honest ( which is a good thing as I am a bit of a technophobe!)
How do you use it?
This great projector is really pretty simple to use actually ( which I was just so relieved to find out!) It has two HDMI inputs (including one MHL) for connecting DVD players, games consoles and laptops. You can also project directly from a smart device with the iProjection app and the built-in Wi-Fi. How cool is that! Sucha lovely way to share your photos and home videos too.
It is a really smart and really fun piece of kit and the quality is exceptional. The images are super clear and the colours are great. The lamp is expected to last 11 years even if you played a film ever light (now that is pretty impressive!)
So yes we are IMPRESSED! and think this is great – our first projector ever and a real pleasure to use.
(The remote control was very handy too for when my lounge turned into a bit of a dance floor!)
And how to completely keep the kids quiet! Crafting tutorials from the fabulous Red Ted Art supersized on our lounge wall!
As a family, we give this projector a big thumbs up and know it is going to bring us a great deal of joy.
The Epson Projector retails at £599.
