Homemade Vegan Granola is a Healthy Snack for Kids

When you’ve finished baking and cooling the granola, you can cut it into bars. Some prefer to crumble the granola and enjoy it with breakfast. In any case, you will want to store the finished granola in an airtight container.

One perk of making granola is that you can tinker with it to suit your tastes. Some may or may not want to use coconut or raisins. Others might prefer to add flax seeds. Some might also add chocolate chips, though that would reduce the healthfulness of the food.

Another advantage of making homemade vegan granola is one of economics. Crunch some numbers when you make this recipe. You might find that buying the ingredients, and the finished granola itself is cheaper than what you will find at the grocery store.

The costs of making

The only expensive ingredient is honey, which you might consider stocking up on when it’s on sale. Raisins and oats are generally inexpensive, but you might consider buying them at the bulk store if you only plan to use this recipe once.

Don’t be afraid to be creative with this recipe. And, if you’re feeling ambitious, consider making other healthy snack recipes like banana bread and zucchini bread. They all make for sweet and nutritious treats!
