a system for controlling the humidity, ventilation, and temperature in a building or vehicle, typically to maintain a cool atmosphere in warm conditions.
Here in the UK air conditioning tends to happen in cars, hotel rooms and supermarkets and isn’t a staple in our homes.
Do you wish for better air conditioning?
Many years ago I spent quite a bit of time in Texas where air conditioning was everywhere and I have to say I loved it. The air felt cleaner and fresher and I just felt better for it. When it was way too hot and sticky outside I would immediately feel less stressed just as soon as I went inside anyone’s home and their air con was on.
I do sometimes wish we had more of this in the UK, particularly on muggy summer days where it’s unpleasantly warm and you just don’t feel fresh or comfortable.
Air conditioning Gold Coast style may seem unnecessary in the UK but I have to say when I look at the veg in my local supermarket and the air con is in full flow it feels so good. And feeling good is so important to your well being. There is a good reason why lovely hotels have this. It is a great way to warm a room too.
I think it is one area of interior design we often overlook in our homes and oh to my mind how much more pleasant it would make them.
What do you think about this? Are you a fan? ( I promise that was an unintentional pun!)
