Hello, I’m Rachel, wife, blogger and a first time mum to baby girl. I love to read, enter competitions, potter around in the garden, bake cakes and take lots of photos of our live in Cornwall. Blogging at https://rachelbustin.com has changed our lives, it has allowed me to give up a few hours at work in my day job to spend them at home with our daughter.

Thanks to Becky for letting me share with you my Beautiful Things.

The most beautiful day I ever had ……was my wedding day. One extremely hot day in July 2013 I got married to my soul mate with all our family around us. We couldn’t afford a huge wedding, so it was at our beautiful local registry office and we had an afternoon tea party for afters. It was so hot that it melted the soles of my wedding shoes on the tarmac! A day we will never forget.

The most beautiful thing I have ever seen  … is my daughter. I honestly thought she would be a redhead with brown eyes like me, but I was wrong. I have the most gorgeous bubbly, happy 18 month old with a mass of blonde curls and blue eyes.

The most beautiful thing I have ever owned … is my Kindle. I’m a huge reader and love getting lost in a book. It’s my relaxing time. Me time.

The most beautiful song I have ever heard …..Kiss from a rose by Seal. There is something about this song, the words, the way it’s sung and Seal’s voice. It’s truly special.

“Baby, I compare you to a kiss from a rose on the gray.

Ooh, the more I get of you, the stranger it feels, yeah.

And now that your rose is in bloom.

A light hits the gloom

On the gray”

The most beautiful person I know is….. my husband. He is a very caring, sharing and honest man. I have seen him many a times go out of his way to do things for others. He loves me unconditionally and I do him. (sorry for the soppiness!)

The most beautiful thing about me is…… is my red hair. When I was younger, I didn’t like the colour, at school I was called the usual names, like carrot top, ginger minger, you know the ones. It used to upset my mum who is also a redhead, because I was a lot like her and she is very proud of hers. As I have grown older I’m very proud of it and how it gives me my uniqueness. It’s good to be different, but has taken me a long time to realise it.

Thank you so much Rachel
