My week in flowers

My favourite weeks are those filled with flowers. The grandest piece of art or best designed piece of furniture can never compare to the beauty flowers bring to a home

This week has been filed with late summer, sunshine and gifts from friends and ever beautiful flowers  from our garden. Let me show you.

I had 2 flower deliveries from my gorgeous bloggy pals Penny and Maggy this week.  They knew I needed cheering up and oh flowers always work. Aren’t these gorgeous. They have made me smile and smile. I am so grateful.

My garden has  still a few blooms of colour in late summer and I appreciate their brightness all the more as the mists of Autumn come down and the colours begin to fade and to change.

But how beautiful that change is too.

The daisies are still shining brightly despite the chill in the air

Lovely flowers…how you brighten the difficult days.

I hope your  week has been full of flowers too. If not..go get some!  I am absolutely convinced they lift the spirits so well they are worth every single penny you spend on them.

Such a lovely post and photographs, especially of your own flowers. I always like to have fresh flowers in the house, and though I have been very lucky lately with receiving bouquets from florists, which are gorgeous of course, I think sometimes simple arrangements and less formal bouquets, as you have shown, give most pleasure. Please keep your flower Instagram posts coming, they cheer my day!
