The BenQ WiT e-Reading Lamp Review
Over Christmas, we received the BenQ WiT e-Reading Desk Lamp Review. I have to say when I took it out of its box I did a bit of a double take. It is heavy, quirky looking and really unusual. And oh my goodness I just love it.It is super stylish, works like a dream and has absolutely transformed the lighting in my work area.
This is the future of desk lamps.
The BenQ WiT e-Reading Lamp Review
There are a number of things I really like about this lamp.
- Firstly it is the first desk lamp designed especially for e-reading. As a blogger, I spend a huge amount of my time e-reading and it can be really draining on my eyes. The BenQ’s Smile Curve technology delivers a 150% wider lighting coverage, creating a wide illuminated area of a 90 cm light range and an illuminance of 1800 lux. This is perfect to light up your whole screen and to reduce glare.
- It looks just fabulous and works so well on a desk as the light covers you reading device/laptop/computer beautifully
- You can alter the lighting on the BenQ lamp to fit your mood. It has a wide colour temperature spectrum; you can easily switch from warm tones for relaxing and casual reading, to the cooler tones for concentration and work and to encourage focus.
- The long strip light is powered by LEDs, LEDs are extremely energy efficient and consume up to 90% less power than incandescent bulbs
The light has easy, powerful controls. The touch sensor metal ring turns on the lamp and activates the e-Reading mode. This has a built-in ambient light sensor which detects the light of the environment and WiT delivers the patented ‘brighter at the sides, darker in the middle’ illumination. Next to that is a dial which you can turn to get the full range of ambient lighting.
I am just loving it. Here is over my desk. Isn’t it just the coolest lamp you have ever seen?
