What I’m Doing Now – Becky Goddard-Hill
Hmm
I have been tagged by the very naughty and extremely hard to say no to Sally Whittle at Who’s the Mummy to share what I am doing now (you must have a read of her post, it is hilarious)
So here indeed is what I am doing now…..
Reading: The Playful Parent is a brand new book by Julia Deering…it is reminding me to be more active in setting up and engaging in play with my kids. A fabulous book…so inspiring. Oh and I am also reading my son’s Beano which he left on the kitchen table this morning!
Listening to: Jack Johnson …he always make me smile.
Laughing at: Helen Neale from Kiddycharts (but in a good way!) . We have been making some Netmums videos together and without meaning too she has me in stitches. I love working with her!
Swooning over: A big white driftwood kitchen table from John Lewis that I think would just look gorgeous in my kitchen.
Planning: To do some exercise/ an online food shop/ the washing up/laundry …dull I know. But I am also planning to write 3 books in the next two years which is WAY more exciting.
Watch this space (I’ll be amazed if the laundry gets done tbh)
Eating lots of: Rubbish and drinking too much strong coffee. I am having what my husband calls a ‘creative phase’ and my good intentions tend to go the window!
Feeling: Anxious, I’m looking at a secondary school for my son today. Struggling with the change and him growing up I guess. I know I should feel excited but that ‘giving them wings’ bit isn’t easy for me.
Discovering: After being so ill earlier this year I have just been maintaining and reacting to work Now slowly I feel my creativity is returning and it makes me joyful to rediscover this side of me.
Looking at: My new camera (a Sony NEX) with love. It is the first proper camera I have ever owned and it arrived today. I am beyond excited about this.
Wearing: Dark blue skinny jeans and a white t-shirt, lots of silver and pink bracelets and bare feet. My hair looks like it hasn’t been combed in two weeks and I think I lost an earring somewhere along the way.
Cooking: TBH I’m not much of cook..whats wrong with grapes, nice cheese and some good bread!
Wondering: Why it is nearly July…. does the time go! Oh and whats that thing I just had to do?
Trying out:Planning ahead and being organised. I am fed up of life being chaotic and me being stressed so am trying to organise myself. Have even organised a few theatre trips, 4 playdates, a trip to the seaside and a sleepover already for summer hols ( I know you are impressed by that!)
And because it’s a meme, I am going to tag some lovely bloggers to share just what they are doing now #widn
Helen Neale (Kiddycharts)
Penny Alexander (ParentShaped)
Kelly Innes (DomesticGoddesque)
and Cass Bailey (FrugalFamily)
(please come back and comment with a link when you’ve done the meme, ladies!)
What a great meme. Good luck with the secondary school – mine has his first taster day on Thursday.
I feel the same bout July – how is it here already ?!?! Big love for that table too – I might have to pinch that idea as we are looking at things for our soon-to-start extension already!
I love this meme, a great glimpse into your life as it stands at the moment
I love the look of the kitchen table. So pretty!
You are a busy bee in my eyes and can’t wait to see and read those three books!
3 books in 2 years, AND being a playful parent?? Hats off to you lady!
Ooh great meme, will collar someone to tag me! And 3 books?! I can barely plan 3 blog posts- good luck, look forward to reading them! X
Well it’s nice to be of service and make someone laugh – even if I generally don’t meant to – was it the cleaner for the naked man – perhaps it was both?!? Can’t wait to do this next week – I love a good meme me đ Thanks for tagging and mentioning me xx
