What to do when you feel trapped by your circumstances – it can feel impossible to change things can’t it?
Life has its share of ups and downs, and that’s true for everyone. A lot of times, things don’t go the way we want them to, and sometimes, there’s actually nothing you can do to make certain situations improve. Living life in such a way can, at that time, feel depressing, to say the least.
You might feel trapped and as if you’re living in a nightmare. If that sounds true to you on so many levels, and if you’re going through something similar, here’s some help to guide you to take things up a notch I’m going to share with you What to Do When you Feel Trapped By your Circumstances
Here is What to Do When You Feel Trapped By your Circumstances
Wait what? Yes, that’s true. The first and probably the most important step of getting over your situation is to surrender. Realize and accept that there are certain things beyond your control, and that’s okay. It isn’t just the case with you- it’s the same with everyone. Surrendering to your circumstances may be difficult, but it is the only way to initiate healing and change your life for the better.
In fact, if you ask someone who’s been through something similar, they’ll almost always tell you- living in acceptance is better than living in denial.
Change What You Can
Ever watched one of those Masterchef episodes where all the participants are given a bunch of ingredients to work with and have to whip up a recipe using them? Think of life in the same way. Each one of us has been given a different set of ingredients (circumstances, passions, ideas, abilities and resources) to work with, and it totally depends on us how we can make things work in our favour.
Spend some time analyzing the resources you have in your life, and how you can use them to make your circumstances better.
Take Back Your Power
Rather than attempting to fight the situation, you’re in, look for ways to take back your power- even if it is in other smaller things. Remember that tiny little things have the potential to make huge impacts, so even if you don’t feel like you’re in control of a lot, continue doing it.
Consciously taking baby steps everyday to improve your life can really help and have the potential to make a huge difference in your faith in yourself. Even the little things that you start doing to make your life (and yourself feel) better, can really inspire and motivate you to do more, helping you rebuild your life.
Create Energy Barriers
A lot of us are guilty of saying yes to literally everything and overworking ourselves. We tend to get pressurized due to having too many commitments and end up feeling overwhelmed. It is, therefore, important to draw a line mentally and learn to say no to anything and anyone that crosses it. Doing this and spending a little more time with self-care can really help boost your confidence and get you in that positive headspace that you need to be in to rebuild your life and take charge.
