Did you know that you should be aiming to drink around six to eight glasses of water each day, this equates to around two litres. You will regularly lose water throughout the day so it is essential you replace what is being lost. If you struggle to drink water then you are not alone in this, many people don’t tolerate it well and think it’s incredibly boring. However, it has so many benefits and the pros really do outweigh the cons. One thing that can help you take in more water when drinking is a water bottle with a straw. You won’t notice that you are regularly finishing the bottle and heading to the fridge or fountain for a refill. 

 

Sleep Well

You need to be aiming for at least six to eight hours of sleep each night, undisturbed. If you don’t achieve this then you can quickly begin to feel the effects of exhaustion setting in and nobody wants that. There may be a reason why you are losing sleep each night, it could be kids waking you up or you are overthinking. It could also be that you have an old, uncomfortable mattress that needs replacing. 

 

Reduce Stress 

One thing that can be detrimental for your health is stress, it is known as the silent killer for a reason. It can sneak up on you when you least expect it, and this can lead to burnout. There will always be a solution to your stress and how you manage it. For instance, if it comes from work then you could ask for extra help or learn to delegate tasks to others. If it’s at home then you could ask for more hands helping you out, if you have older children then don’t be afraid to ask them to help with chores.
