Declutter

Assuming you have just moved in and your boxes are still thrown around the place. It is a great excuse to have a big decluttering session. Not just your stuff, but everyone’s. If there is anything you no longer want then you can add it to one of the following four piles. These consist of the things you wish to keep, throw away, donate, and sell. It is always a nice idea to give your belongings away as you never know who will need them the most. Never look at decluttering as one big task, instead, tackle each room one at a time. This makes it far more manageable for everyone.

Deep Clean

Now, once you have decluttered it is time to deep clean the place. If this wasn’t done by the previous owner then you might want to give it a proper clean and reach the tricky areas too. This could include the corners of each room, you never know where the dust and debris gathers. Previous owners might have had pets, so you will likely be sweeping or hoovering pet hairs for weeks to come. While this can be annoying, it will end once you have gotten rid of all of it. If you don’t have the time then you could always hire a cleaning company to come in and do it for you.

Repair & Replace

Is there anything that needs to be repaired or replaced in the home? There will likely be some things that you either don’t like or that aren’t worth repairing. However, if your heating isn’t working or there are certain radiators that are rusty and need some work then why not buy new ones. Head To The Garden

If the previous owners didn’t take proper care of the garden space then it might have seen better days. However, with your love and attention, you can restore it back to its former glory. Plan it down to the very last detail, how do you want this to look? If you are lucky enough to have different layers and levels then you can do wonderful things. Perhaps have a seating area or include a hot tub for those lazy long summer evenings. The world is your oyster and you really can do anything you want with your garden
