I am so desperate for a weekend away somewhere different. I want to get away from outstanding work, household jobs, endless kids clubs. I just am so ready for a change of scene and a city break would be perfect.
I wouldn’t want to have to travel too for if it was just a weekend away and I have to say I really don’t need to in order to find some amazing cities.
Liverpool is a UK city I have never visited and I have to say it is tempting. It is just a short train ride away for me.

Royal Albert Dock
Roxy Ball Room
For food, I would want to head to the Roxy Ball Room – fun, casual dining and a chance to play ping pong too – this sounds just the right kind of place for us! You can even have a game of beer pong which I have to say does sound great fun!
Walkie Talkie Tours
Liverpool is rich with history and culture and I love the idea of a walkie-talkie tour in Liverpool One. It takes you all the landmark building and iconic streets. I would be hoping it will take me to Penny Lane?
Lego Shop in Liverpool One
My kids are just the biggest Lego fans and if they were to visit Liverpool too on this weekend away I know they would absolutely want to head to the Lego store! There favourite thing to do is to build their own mini – figures form the pic and mix! You can find the address and opening details here
Liverpool Christmas Ice Festival
Oh, this just sounds absolutely lovely. There is a large outdoor ice rink, a lot of rides and many Christmas stalls. There is even an ice slide! Something for the whole family! You can read more about it here It is set at Pier Head and opens in 2018 on December 10,
Hard days night hotel
The only Beatles inspired hotel in the world I would have to stay at the Hard Day’s night hotel. I absolutely love The Beatles! This is luxurious accommodation right at the heart of the city centre and it sounds amazing!
The Beatles Story exhibition
The Beatles story exhibition is based at the Royal Albert Dock and is filled with memorabilia and photos from the Beatles story. How awesome!
The Tate Liverpool
The Tate Liverpool is full of modern British and International Art. I would just love to pay it a visit on my weekend away in Liverpool One. This is also based at the Royal Albert Dock.
Blimey, so many things I want to do on my Liverpool One weekend I think I might a month there instead!
