Ever wondered How to liven up a plain wall ?
I am wanting to jazz up a few small areas in my home.
My walls have been white for so long and I have steered very clear of patterns in all ways yet I feel it is time to add in a few new elements. make it a little more interesting.
I have been considering making a feature of some of the walls.
I love these tiles they are so unusual and earthy. I think they would look amazing in our entrance hall behind the console table and phone.
I like the fact they are glass too as this could really help in reflecting some light in this darker area.

What do you think of this wall paper fr0m Graham and Brown?
I would put this on one on the walls in our playroom and let the kids decorate with their art work. I think it adds a real element of fun and it would certainly be unique!
I also like walls covered with photographs and think they add a lovely personal element to a space.A wall like that would indeed be original and would certainly make you smile when you looked at it I’m sure.
Or how about a wall covered in prints of things that you love or inspire you. That would be wonderful wouldn’t it? Perhaps inspiring words or images of places you would like to visit or things you would like to do? I would choose the Taj Mahal, the Tour de France and a big sign saying Breathe!
There is also the option of a little wall papering if you are looking for ways on how to liven up a plain wall. I love this wallpaper featured over at the interior design blog Love Chic Living
Not only is it an unusual colour it is also has a fabulous design on that I think my children would love as much as me. Plus if you only wallpaper one wall it is minimal effort to change it (and expense) when you are tired of the design.
I think any of these options will be good at giving a little zing to my interior decor. I don’t want to do too much or all of the ideas as I think that would look chaotic and my home is pretty small and stuffed full already of kids and ‘stuff’ but a little updated wall would be a good thing.
I do hope you enjoyed my post on how to liven up a plain wall
