Spring Fair 2017

The Spring Fair is UK’s premier gift and home trade event, and it is excitedly anticipated every year. For shop owners, buyers and trades people in interiors and in the gift market this is hugely significant event. It showcases the newest products and innovations on the market for a huge array of brands.

 

 

I will hopefully be attending myself so will be sure to report back!

 

At the fair there will be over 2500 exhibitors so as you can imagine you could be there a while!  This is where retailers become inspired and trends are set in motion.

There are 14 sectors at Spring Fair and they cover the breadth of the home/gift market. The DIY and Home Improvement sector is a new and welcome addition this year. This continually growing market has been been hugely helped by You Tube and its many tutorials with people feeling more confident than ever about having a go themselves. This trend is also thought to be due to falling incomes, rising household expenses and employment insecurities and the market has really developed over recent years in response. I think adding this sector to Spring Fair makes a lot of sense.

 

Do you DIY? We increasingly attempt new things ourselves and I love upcycling as regular readers will know.

Here are a few of the exhibitors in the DIY sector:

 

 

Bird Brand are a family business selling woodcare products. So useful particularly with outdoor furniture. We never look after our wooden picnic table and frequently have to replace it.

 

 

 

 

PlastiKote is the market leading spray paint brand in the UK and has over 300 products. I have many of them! They are perfect for upcycles as they adhere to virtually any surface and give a smooth, flawless finish that is tough and long lasting.

 

 

 

Sticking with paints ( I do have  bit of a thing for colour) Dulux will also be exhibiting. Do you know that Dulux have over 1200 colours to choose from and all sorts of tools to help you decide. Isn’t that amazing! Have a little play with their colour inspiration tool to be really inspired.
