The feeling of contentment is interchangeable with satisfaction, and is probably the hardest one on this list to attain. Being happy with what you have seems unreal, considering how we have been surrounded by unrealistic standards of happiness around us, and that’s where meditation and mindfulness comes in. Practising mindfulness more often can help you look inward, not take things to heart, and just be aware in the present moment, making you less likely to enter that constant chase of goals that you tie to happiness.

A lot of us tend to struggle with this one, but being grateful and thankful for what you have is another type of happiness, and quite frankly, is one that makes you a healthier person as well. Several studies have found that gratitude, is actually pretty easy to cultivate, and by simply appreciating things that you have more often, you can make it a habit, and this in turn, can do everything from reducing anxiety and stress to making you a happier person.
Love – brings so many different kinds of happiness
Love is a magical feeling that makes the world go round. Being in love can be the most beautiful feeling- like you’ve reached an infinite source of happiness, and everything is right in the world. Finding love, as strange as it may sound, is not actually necessary. Look around you and you’ll see love everywhere- enveloping you. It can be your partner asking you how your day was, holding your hand while walking. It can be your mom cooking you a nice hot meal.
It can be your friend sharing a meme with you.

Love isn’t hard to find. Each one of us have been blessed with an endless supply of it, and spending time and making effort to improve the quality of your relationships can really help you be loved and find the happiness that comes with it.
