Let the robots work

If you have a Roomba or other automatic vacuum, set it on a timer and let it work when you’re out during the day. Similarly, if you have a dishwasher, cleaning the dishes after you eat or putting them into the wash right before you leave will save you time and keep your house tidy when you come home, too.

Clean while you cook to Keep Your House Neat and Clean All the Time

If you like to cook in the kitchen, instead of leaving a stockpile of dishes sitting in the sink or letting sauce stains stick on the stove, get in the habit of cleaning during your downtime. Not only will putting away food and cleaning up spills keep your home looking better, but it will also keep you healthy, as well.

Take out the papers and the trash

Rather than letting trash pile up, or leaving large boxes to clog up the recyclable bin, take these things out when you leave the house.

If you don’t produce that much trash, you can still improve a messy situation by checking if your trash needs to be taken out when you leave, so you’re never left surprised with a bin that is too full.

Love this list, it’s one of those why am I not already doing this it seems so obvious!

Just a few things to caution: leaving shoes outside invites bugs to make a home in your shoe, most areas of the world are home to at least one small very venomous creature. Instead have a designated shoes off area. And ALWAYS tap out your shoes before putting them on.

Dryer sheets contain ingredients that many find unsavory, while you may enjoy the smell consider what chemicals made that smell. This is especially important for those that have kids/pets who may decide to taste what you just wiped down. Instead you can use bees wax or vegan wax. If you want these to be handy you can make wax sheets with spare cloth, just please don’t put them in the dryer.

The same concern as above for using car products in the house (or even in the car) pets and kids do crazy things like lick windows, vinegar is safe and doesn’t leave streaks. If you hate vinegar you can get (what I call shine cloths) window/glass cloths that only need water. I have gotten a few from Norwex and from Canadian Tire, but I’m sure there are many other places that sell them. Btw they make anything non porous shine like new.

Anyhow thank you for the tips and advice I hope o can stick to them and break this cycle of 2 day long cleaning sprees.
