My Dream Kitchen
I have a pretty small kitchen which is constantly untidy despite my best efforts. I work in a corner of it, my kids do their homework and craft in there and my OH cooks up a storm and leaves evidence behind him that he has done so. It is too small for all the life we cram in to it.
It is however, white and bright and light and I do have a lovely kitchen table – it is wooden topped with white legs and matching white and wood chairs. The kitchen is the room we gather in the most and really is the very heart of our home.
We are looking to move this year or next and in my mind’s eye I have been designing the home I want and in particular the kitchen
On my wishlist for my dream kitchen
These gorgeous bar stools have inspired my colour scheme. I think bright white with hints of citrus and pale grey will be fabulous in a light, open plan kitchen diner.
I just adore the lime in these clear acrylic stools.
They also come in zesty orange!
How cool!
I have never had a breakfast bar and I just love the idea of one, perfect for the kids to grab breakfast or for me to take 5 and have a coffee with the paper.
My units would all be white and sleek and modern. I would have huge windows with no blinds. Lots of small green plants and nothing on show at all except for a slee,k white cone shaped kettle like this
My floor would be light wood and would run throughout my whole downstairs.
Around my kitchen table I would like functional, lightweight and uber stylish chairs and the Bronby is perfect as it ticks all the boxes.
It comes in a myriad of colours but I would stick with the white.
And for a table? I really like this round Seema table it would work beautifully with the chairs. I have never had a round kitchen table but I love the idea of it …all of us next to each other. I think it is far less formal than a square or rectangular table somehow.
I would have shelves of colourful cookery books on the white walls. All the bits and bobs like ironing boards and brushes and the washing machine and dryer would be in a separate utility room. Nothing woudl spoil the sleek and lovely kitchen of my dreams.
On the kitchen table would be a fresh bunch of flowers at all times and a huge bowl of brightly coloured fresh fruit,
If there was space I might even get a lovely soft grey sofa for friends to sit and chat to me as I cook, or for me to relax on whilst my OH does it!
It’s shaping up nicely isn’t it?
Now I just need to find the house of our dreams!
