My Summer Style #UKHomeBlogHop

Hi I am Becky Goddard-Hill and welcome to my blog A Beautiful Space & My Summer Style

If you are here as part of the 27 blogger strong blog hop organised by the very lovely Kimberley at Swoonworthy this may be your first time at A Beautiful Space. Do pop to Kimberly ‘s blog to start the beginning of the hop where all this week 27 bloggers are showing off their summer style.

Did you just pop over from The Ana Mum Diary?

If so, I  am so pleased you dropped by.

This blog is about the beautiful things in life, mainly interiors but also art, fashion, flowers and food. feel free to subscribe and I would love for you to follow me on Instagram and Pinterest too where I also show off my love of all things beautiful.

Today I wanted to show you a summer refresh I have made to our playroom/consevratory/craftroom/musicroom. This lovely room that leads out on to our garden is the hardest working and most cluttered room in our home and much as I love it,  it was not looking at all fresh and light and ready for summer. My kids store many toys and all their craft materials in this room, my husband keeps about 8 guitars in here and my son has his keyboard. I hardly got a look in despite the fact I work form home and it would be just the most gorgeous room for writing in.

Summer is around the corner and it was time to claim a lttle bit of that room for me and give it a refresh at the same time.

First of all I need to clear the clutter and clean ( have to admit I am embarrassed to show you the  clutter in this room!) – Yikes

my summer style

As you can see it had become a total ‘dump anything’ in there space and oh did it look ugly. It is the only room in our house that looks like this and we had almost given up on it really.

But then Wayfair sent me this stunning chair and I knew just knew I want to create a little workspace in our conservatory. The tulip dining chair comes in a variety of colours but I stayed with white in order to keep the room as light and bright as possible

Complete with a beautiful white desk from Kit Out my Office I knew I had just what I needed to make a real focal point for the room.

I also had a really good declutter and added an Orla Kierly reed diffuser to get some lovely summer scents into the room

I also found some beautiful botanical prints that I had stashed away on my book shelf that were just perfect for this project

With the addition of a plant the printer are a suddenly looks so much better.

So with just minimal effort and a new focus for this room it really has been transformed. It still houses all the craft store and all the guitars and toys but it is also a lovely place for me to now sit and work.

I think it just needed a little TLC

Here is how it looks now – all ready for summer.

And look at the view from my desk now – bliss.

Another beautiful and recent addition to my garden is this gorgeous Gardeco Romba Chiminea from Chimineashop.co.uk

which I am reviewing. We haven’t lit it yet but as you can see it is an absolute work of art . It is crafted by Mexican artisans in clay. I think it is so beautiful. Adds to my desk view perfectly

Gorgeous! I love working whilst looking into the garden,.

A perfect space for your desk to go, so nice being able to look out over the garden. I stare at a wall! The chair and desk are really nice together too. Well done on having a good clear out! I really need to do that too

You’ve performed some kind of miracle here. It can be so hard to carve out your own space when you’ve got kids. Well done!

Brilliant before and after! It’s amazing how quickly a neglected room just goes down hill – I feel like I’m constantly fighting off clutter in my own office space lol What a lovely little spot you have now and such a gorgeous view as well! Thanks so much for taking part in the hop!! xxx
