Bedroom on a budget – how to create a fabulous space.
Bedroom on a budget
Do you want to know how to create a fabulous bedroom on a budget? I love my bedroom to be a place that looks beautiful and meets all my practical needs too. I believe it is totally possible to create a fabulous bedroom on a budget that you totally love
Here are my top tips for creating a fabulous bedroom on a budget within a thrifty home.
Sleeping well in your bedroom on a budget
I need to be able to have a great nights sleep and having the right bed is absolutely key to this. At the Divan Bed Centre you can find a range of beds that are cheap on price but not on quality. Delivery is also free and there is a really wide choice of no-frills good quality beds. You cut out the middleman by buying online too. Do have a peek. I think you will be amazed at the prices.
In order to sleep well, I need a bedroom to be really dark so blackout blinds are essential for me. I like to pair them with soft gauzy curtains over the top so |I can open the blinds as I please yt still have privacy. Getting a plain blind means I won’t need to change it up as I change my decor and this keeps costs down.
I also need to be warm to sleep well so a lovely throw ( Aldi have some beautiful and inexpensive throws this season) looks gorgeous on the bed and allows me to get snuggly. My bedroom on a budget is super cosy.

Storage in your fabulous bedroom on a budget
Sure I would, if money were no budget, have a walk-in wardrobe and store all many many clothes and shoes in there but I don’t! I still, however, want my bedroom to look calm and serene and to have my clothes really well organised. Slide-out boxes for under the bed work really well for storing shoes and plastic low boxes with lids are an inexpensive option.
When it comes to wardrobes a simple Ikea style wardrobe that will not date tends to fit in seamlessly. You could also go the other extreme and pick up a retro piece at a flea market, house clearance or an auction and get a great quality bargain – totally depends on your style.
Fabulous bedroom on a budget decor
I like calm colours in a bedroom and avoid wallpaper where possible so I change the decor quickly and cheaply as required. We currently have a light powder blue paint on our walls but I am thinking pale grey next. I tend to got white duvets for this same reason..timeless and go with anything.
A few cushions can add detail and texture but on pricier items, we stick to neutrals.
Accessories are a great way to create a fabulous bedroom on a budget
Inexpensive, classic bedside lights and tables are a must. I also always like to keep something living in the bedroom (a plant is cheaper than replacing fresh flowers.) A stack of your favourite books too can add individuality and colour. A room mist can also add a lovely delicate fragrance to a room and costs very little.
It is totally possible to learn how to create a fabulous bedroom on a budget. Invest in the essentials, keep them neutral, keep the room tidy and decluttered and you will have the sanctuary that you crave.
