Did you know that wall tapestries will be a growing trend in wall art in 2021?
Do you think wall tapestries are just gorgeous pieces of wall art you see in stately homes or grand mansions? Beautiful pieces of art but not for the likes of you or me and our ‘regular’ homes?
It is time to think again.
It just isn’t true, wall hangings and wall tapestries are having a moment in interior design as we fall back in love with fabric.
I am so excited to show you some of my favourite wall tapestries
Wall Hangings for students
My student niece Jazzy would absolutely love this Live Wild wall hanging – it’s so cool and what a great message too. Unlike trying to hang framed photos with nails and the like this is very easy just to tack up so really well suited to student accommodation and rented houses.
This is lightweight microfiber tapestry that comes in 3 different sizes with hemmed edges for secure hanging with thumbtacks (or nails)
You have to live a little wild when you are a student, don’t you? and it is very important to make your space your own and stamp some identity on it.
Lounge wall tapestries
Wall tapestries can make unique, unusual and striking wall art features and where better to put one than in a lounge.
In a contemporary home, pop art works brilliantly and this pop art tapestry is such a great way to bring a real injection of colour and style (and fun) into a lounge scheme.
Contemporary homes with modern furniture can all feel a bit too angular and the softmess of a fabric wall hanging can break up all those straight lines.
Bedroom wall tapestries
I like bedroom decor to be relaxing and low key and I like it to be tonal. If I was picking out a bedroom tapestry I would absolutely make my main focus on colour and try and make the colours in the room flow.
Our current bedroom design scheme is blues and whites and light greys and I think the pretty pink boxes tapesty would work so very well in there- it is soft and pretty and unassuming. Such a relaxing design too perfect for your bedroom.
Custom Wall Tapestries
You can even make your own Custom tapestries by clicking on this link. Now wouldn’t that be something?
If I was to make a custom wall hanging from a photo I would take a lovely photo of my garden or of the trees on my street and it would look like an extra window. This would also be a lovely way to use a special photo that captures a treasured memory for example a beach holiday, or perhaps a photo of your child when were little playing in a field of poppies – what a fabulous way to create some totally bespoke art
A growing trend in wall art – Wall Tapestry Options
